Lynda Carter is an American artist and actress popular for her performance as Wonder Woman in the 1970s television series of the that same title. Through her career she has appeared in numerous movies and television shows. She has become an iconic figure for pop-culture. Lynda is, along with an impressive and long-running acting career, has produced five TV shows on the network that have been highly rated. Many of them received nominations for Emmy Awards. Her stage appearances have included many of the world's most famous and popular performers, such as Ray Charles Tom Jones Kenny Rogers George Benson and Ben Vereen. Lynda's stage debut came aged 14 when she performed at the Tempe Arizona Music Festival. Tempe Arizona. Her parents are Italian while her father runs an operation that produces paper. Laura was born in New Denville, Jersey. She went to Morris Knolls High School and discovered her love for performing. Following high school, she went on to CarnegieMellon School of Drama in Pittsburgh which she attended until graduation in 1984 with a degree in the fine arts. In order to begin her professional career, Giacomo was able to move from Pittsburgh to New York where she began acting in theatre productions, and receiving rave reviews for most of her roles.
